PTU: Witch it up




This tutorial was written by me on September 29, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of  PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Eugene Rzhevshii.  Please do not use his artwork without a  proper license.  This is an Exclusive tube and can be purchased at PFD.  

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Halloween Night by Scraps Dimensions.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it at PFD here.

Mask:  VIX big mask 018. You can download it here.  Thank you Vix for making these fantastic masks.  Save this to your mask folder.

Plug ins: none

Font of choice.  I am using Rocky AOE

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 6.  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Layers>load/save mask>load mask from disk and find Vix big mask 018.  Apply the mask and merge group.

Open your tube copy and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 60% all layers not checked.  Repeat.  Drop shadow.

We will be adding elements around the tube.  See my example for placement.

Select your mask layer.  I used the following elements:

Element 11:  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize 60%, all layers not checked and again by 80%.  Image mirror and move to the right upper middle.

Element 8:  Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and resize by 60%.  Drop shadow.

Element 7:  Copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 25% and move to the bottom right corner.  Drop shadow.

Element 9:  Copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 40% and move to the right.

Element 20:  Copy and close the original.  Select your top layer and paste as a new layer.  Image resize 25% and move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.

Add any other elements you like.  Once you are happy with your results, add your copyright and name.  Save as png and your done.

PTU: Witchypoo

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Verymany.  Please do not use this artwork without a  proper license. You can purchase this at Picsfordesign here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Bootiful (TS)  by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it at her store here.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x250 transparent image.

Open bootiful paper 7, or paper of choice, and paste as a new layer.

Open you main tube, copy and paste as a new layer.  Mura Meisters copy>Wall paper rotate default settings.  Change the blend mode to Darken.

Open element 12 copy and paste as a new raster layer.  Move it down and to the left so the middle of the web is in approximately the top right hand corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 13, copy and paste as a new raster layer.  Image resize 30% and move the spider to the middle of the web.  Add a drop shadow.

Open element 29, copy and paste as a new raster layer.  Move this to the left corner.  Duplicate it and resize 50% and move over to the right.  See mine for placement.

Open your tube.  Copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move to the left corner.  See mine for placement.  Add a drop shadow.

Add a new raster layer and move to the top.  Select all>Selections to borders>both sides checked, Anti-alias checked, border with 6.  Pick a color from your tube or background and flood fill your

selection.  I used #3c2951.  Adjust>add/remove noise and add noise Random 70%.  Drop shadow with the following settings V/H 1 Opacity 100 blur 1 black.  Repeat but change the V/H to -1.

Hide your frame and Merge visible.

Add your copyright and name save as png and your done.  Do not close if you want to make an avitar.

Avitar:

Using your keyboard hit ctrl + D to dulicate your tag.  Close the original.

Using your crop tool.  Height and Width set to 150 px, Move the crop box until you find a spot you like and apply crop.

Repeat the steps for the frame for the banner but change the border width to 4.

Add your name or initial and copyright.  Save as png and your done.

PTU Spooktacular

This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of
PSP.

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.
PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Elias Chatzoudis.Please do not use his artwork without a  proper license.  You can purchase this at Elias's new store here.

PTU scrap kit:  I am using Spooktacular (TS) by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog here or purchase it a her store here.

Mask: Vix Big mask 18.  You can download it here.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open element 38 copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Using your magic wand, click inside your frame.  Selections modify and expand by 4.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 7. Copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer, Selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Select none.  Move this layer under your frame.

Using your magic wand select inside your frame again.  Open and copy your close up tube.  Back to your working image and paste as a new layer.  Resize by 90% all layers not checked.  Using your move tool, move to a spot you like best.  Selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Select none.  Change your blend mode to Hard light and lower the opacity to about 70%.  Move this layer under your frame layer if it is not already.

Add a drop shadow to your frame.

Time for some elements  I used the following:

Element 60:  Resized 25% moved to the upper left hand corner under the frame.
Element 33:  resize 40% and moved to the bottom left of the frame. 
Drop shadow.
Element 35:  Resized 50% and moved to the bottom right hand corner of the frame.
Element 51:  Resized 30% and moved to the bottom left corner above the tree.
Element 47:  Resized 80% Mirrored and moved to the top right hand corner.
Element 37:  Resized 30% and moved to the bottom right hand corner.

Add any other elements you like.

Once happy, hide raster 1 and merge visible.  Image resize 90% all layers not checked.  Unhide raster 1.
Copy your main tube and paste as a new raster layer.  Image resize 70% and mirror.  Move to the bottom left side.  Drop shadow.
Select raster 1, open paper of choice, I used paper 4.  Paste as a new layer and apply Vix Big Mask 18.  Merge group.  Add your copyright and name.  Save as png and your done.

PTU: Dream of me

Supplies needed

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.
PTU Tube:  I am using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey.  Please
do not use his artwork without a  proper license. You can purchase

PTU scrap kit:  I am using In Dreams by Baby Cakes Scraps.  Thank
you for creating this fantastic kit.  You can view it at her blog
here or purchase it a her store here.

Mask: Vix big mask 18.  You can download it at Vix's blog here.  Thank you Vix for making your fantastic masks.

Plug ins: None

Font of choice.

This tutorial was written using the supplies above.  If you are
using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make
adjustments.  I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5,
color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise state.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open element 26 copy and close the original.  Resize 30% all layers
not checked.  Using your magic wand, select the inside of your frame. 
Selections>modify>expand by 4.  Add a new raster layer.  Open paper
of choice, I am using  Paper 10.  Copy and close the original.  Make
sure your new raster layer is selected.  Edit>Paste into selections.
Select none.

Open your close up tube. I am using the middle tube.  Move her down
a bit until you find a spot you like and add a drop shadow.  Select
the inside of your frame again with your magic wand.  Selections
invert and erase the bottom portion of your tube.  Select none.  Add
a drop shadow to your frame.

Time for some elements.  Use the elements you like or use the ones I
used.  I used the following:

Element 48:  Resized 15% and move to the left of the frame and mirror.

Element 58:  Resized 15% and move to the bottom left corner.

Element 22:  Resized 15% and again by 80%. Move to the bottom right corner.

Element 6:  Resized 15% Image>free rotate left 90 degrees.  Move to
the left side of the frame.  Move this layer above your frame layer
and drop shadow.

Element 18:  Resized 15%, mirror Bring this layer to the top and
place on your white flower. 

Element 33:  Resized 30%.  Move this layer above your ribbon layer 
and move to the top of your frame.

Element 65:  Resized 15% and move to the bottom left hand corner,
you want this peaking out from behind the top of the white flower.

Element 27:  Resized 15% and moved to the bottom center of the frame.  Move this layer under your fan and white layer.  

Select raster 1 and select all.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 15. Copy and close the original.  Edit>Paste into selections.  Select none.  Find your Vix big mask 18 and apply it.  Merge group.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png and your done.  I hope you
enjoyed my tutorial.  I would love to see your results.
