PTU: St. Paddy Day 2015

This tutorial was written by me on February 21, 2015 and are the results of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using the gorgous artwork of Elias Chatzoudis.   The tube I am using is Sexy Patty.  Please do not use his tube without a proper licence.  You can purchase this beauty at Elias's store here.  

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called Erin Go Braugh by Mellie Beans.  You can purchase this gorgeous kit at Mystical Scraps here.

Mask:  WSL mask 254.  You can download it from Weescostlass's blog here.

Font: Of your choice

Plug ins: None

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Copy the close up tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and again by 90%. drop shadow.

Open glitter, copy and close the original.  Selct raster 1 and paste.  Resize 90%. Duplicate and mirror.

Open Lucky Cluster, copy and close the original.  Select the glitter layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move slightly to the right.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open Rainbow, copy and close the original.  Select the word art layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move down slightly. Drop shadow.

Open mushy, copy and close the original.  Select the rainbow layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left croner so it lines up with the top of the tubes skirt.  See mine for placement.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open hat and coins, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and mirror.  MOve to the bottom right corner so it looks like the leprechaun is looking at the gold.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open horseshoe, copy and close the original.  Select the top mushy layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom right corner so it is peaking out from the hat and coins layer.  See mine for placement.

Open harp, copy and close the original.  Select the rainbow layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the upper far left.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open Green Beer, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open lucky cuppy, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25% and move tot he bottom left so it covers the beer handle.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open Flag, copy and close the original.  Select the rainbow layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the right.  See mine for placement.

Add any other elements you like.

Open paper 4, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Layers, load/save mask, load mask from disk and find WSL mask 254 and apply.  Merge group.

Add your name and copyright.  Save as png.

PTU: Beauty of Music

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called Wind Song by Mellie Beans.  You can purchase this gorgeous kit at Mystical Scraps here.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Copy your main tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and drop shadow.

Open element 7, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 3.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 1.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Select none.  Drop shadow the frame.

Open element 3, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Move to the bottom center and drop shadow.

Open element 18, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the right side.  See mine for placement.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the upper left.  See mine for placement.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 06, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom left.  See mine for placement.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the middle left.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 21, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 90%.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 30% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom right so it is peaking out from behind the violin.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move this layer above the black rose layer.  See mine for placement.

Open element 14, copy and close the original.  Select the ribbon layer and paste.  Resize 30% and rotate to the right by 20 degrees.  Move down to the bottom center.  Drop shadow.

Open element 22, copy and close the original.  Select the top element 17 layer and paste.  Resize 70%

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 9, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste as a new layer.  Apply WSL mask 116 and merge group.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your name and copyright.  Save as png.

PTU: Zombie Love

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 4, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer and apply WLS mask 116 but do not merge group.  Select the top layer and paste your close up tube and paste.  Move to a spot you like best.  I moved mine to the far left.  Move this layer under your mask layer and change the blend mode to soft light.  Merge group.

Open your main tube and paste.  Resize 60% and drop shadow.

Open element 37, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 60% and again by 80%.  Mirror.  move to the bottom right corner.  Drop shadow.

Open element 6, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Image, free rotate to the right 20 degrees all layers not checked and move to the upper right.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 32, copy and close the original.  Select the heart layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 46, copy and close the original.  Select the left head stone layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move down in front of the right head stone.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 50, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom center.  Duplicate and move to the far bottom right.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move over to the left a bit.

Open element 49, copy and close the original.  Select the heart layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move down slightly.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.  Select the to layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom center.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the middle center.  See mine for placement.

Add any other elements you like.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.

PTU: Captured

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called Dark and Luxurious by Kissing Kate.  This beautiful kit has 70 elements, 4 frames and 10 papers.  You can purchase this kit at Spazzdart here

Mask:  WSL Mask 117.  You can download it from her blog here.  Thank you for the awesome masks.  Open the mask in psp and minimize.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 3, copy and close the original.  Paste as a new layer.  Apply WSL mask 117 and merge group.  Resize 105% all layers not checked.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and drop shadow.

Open frame 3, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 40%.  Image, free rotate to the left 90 degrees all layers not checked.  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 3  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 2.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Copy and paste your tube and resize 60%.  Move so her face is in the frame.  Selections, invert and hit delete on the keyboard.  Select the paper layer and repeat the delete.  Change the blend mode on the tube layer to hard light and drop shadow the frame.  

Hide the main tube, mask layer and raster 1.  Merge visible.  Made all your layers visible again.  Select the frame layer.  Image, free rotate to the right 20 degrees all layers not checked.  Move to the right.  See mine for placement.

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Move up slightly.

Open element 64, copy and close the original.  Select the fence layer and paste.  Resize 80% and drop shadow.

OPen element 27, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the upper left corner.  Drop shadow.

Open element 7, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom right corner in front of the frame.  Drop shadow.  see mine for placement.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 40%, drop shadow and mirror.  Move down to the bottom right under the rose.  See mine for placement.

Open element 14, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom right corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 48, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move down so it is peaking out from the rose.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 54, copy and close the original.  Select the heart layer and paste.

Open element 67, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the top rose layer and paste.  Resize 40% and mirror.  Move to the bottom left corner.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 29, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom rose layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the far bottom left corner so it is peaking out from behind the rose.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 69, copy and close the original.  Select the bottom rose layer and paste.  Resize 35% and move to the left middle so it is peaking out from behind the rose and cup.  Using your deform tool, turn it slightly to the left.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 70, copy and close the original.  Select the top rose layer and paste.  Image flip and mirror.

Open element 59, copy and close the original.  Select the black box layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom center.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Add any other elements you like.  

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.

PTU: Ocean Treasures

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 5. copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL mask 116 but don't merge group.  Copy your tube, select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the spot you like best.  I move mine to the right and up.  Once happy with placement, move this layer under the mask layer.  Change the blend mode on the tube layer to soft light and merge group.

Select the top layer and paste.  Your tube should still be in the memory,  Resize 25% and mirror.  Drop shadow.  Move to the bottom.

Open element 57, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom so it looks like the tube is sitting on it.

Open element 37, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the upper left and drop shadow.

Open element 44,  copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 60% and flip.  Move to the bottom left and drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 50, copy and close the original.  Select the sand layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom right.  Drop shadow.  see mine for placement.

Open element 01, copy and close the original.  Select the anchor layer and paste.  Resize 30% and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom left corner.  See mine for placement.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.  Select the anchor layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom middle.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it just sits in front of the mermaid's bottom.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 39, copy and close the original.  Select the net layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom right.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 2, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 55%.

Open element 53, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it covers the right side of her bottom and peaks out from behind the shell.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.  Duplicate and move to the far right and move this layer just above the anchor.  See mine for placement.

Add any other elements you like.  

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 10, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply WSL Mask 84 but don't merge.  Open your tube, copy and close the original.  select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% all layers not checked.  Move your tube to a spot you would like her to show in the mask.  I moved mine down and to the right.  Once happy with placement, move your tube under the mask layer.  Change the blend mode to soft light and merge group.  Resize 110% all layers not checked.

Select the top layer and paste your tube again.  It will still be in the memory :).  Resize 20% and move to the left slightly.  Drop shadow.

Open element 22, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 50% and drop shadow.

Open element 32, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the left side.  See mine for placement.

Open element 06, copy and close the original.  Select the tower layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move slightly to right bottom of the tower.  Drop shadow.  see mine for placement.

Open element 44, copy and close the original.  Select the tower layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom left.  See mine for palcement.

Open element 38, copy and close the original.  Select the bust layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom center of the tower.  See mine for placement.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the book layer and paste.  Resize 15% adn move down in front of the books and bust.   See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 18, copy and close the original.  Select the tower layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the bottom.  See mine for placement.

Open element 23, copy and close the original.  Select the flower layer under the tower.  Paste and resize 50% and move to the bottom right.  See mine for placement.

Open element 27, copy and close the original.  Select the book layer and paste.  Resize 15% and move to the bottom right so it is peaking out from behind the clock.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 28, copy and close the original.  Select the bust layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom slightly to the right.  see mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Add your copyright and name.

Save as png.

PTU: Angel of Hearts

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open element 108, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the upper left corner.  Duplicate and move to the bottom right corner.  the frames should over lap in the bottom and upper corners.  See mine for placement.  Merge down.  Using your magic wand, click inside the top and bottom frames.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.  Open paper of choice,  I am using paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer.  Selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard.  Do not deselect.  Copy your tube and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom frame so her face shows.  Hit delete on your keyboard.  Duplicate and move to the upper frame.  Hit delete again.  Select none.  Mirror the upper tube and move back into the  frame.  Merge the 2 tube layers down and change the blend mode to luminance legacy.  Move the tube and paper layers under the frame and drop shadow the frames.

Select the top layer and paste.  Your tube will still be in the memory.  Resize 15% and move over slightly to the right.  Drop shadow.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 14, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste.  Apply mask WSL 223 and merge group.

Open element 95, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom right and drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 44, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Move to the right so it is peaking out from the bottom frame.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the left so it is covering the bottom left frame.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 93, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the upper left corner of the top frame.  Using your deform tool, turn the ribbon to the left slightly.  see mine for placement.  Drop shadow, mirror and move to the upper right corner of the right frame.

Open element 49, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom left.  Using your deform tool, tilt to the left.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 60, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left just in front of the mp3 player.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 16, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.

Open element 43, copy and close the original.  Select the frame layer and paste.  Resize 35% and move to the bottom right.  See mine for placement.   Drop shadow.

Open element 52, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the bottom right so it is peaking out from behind the lipstick.

PTU: In the Darkness

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

copy your tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 17% and drop shadow.  Move down slightly.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 2, copy and close the original.  Select raster 1 and paste as a new layer.  Apply WSL Mask 222 and merge group.

Open element 39, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Move up slightly.

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Move to the left.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.  Select the moon layer and paste.  Resize 90% and drop shadow.  Move up.  See mine for placement.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move down to the right so it is in front of the tubes foot.

Open element 5, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 60% and drop shadow.

Open element 12, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom slightly to the left.  Drop shadow.

Open element 20, copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom left in front of the tree.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Select the chain link layer and paste.  Resize 80% and move to the bottom.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Select the lantern layer and paste.  Move to the bottom right so it is peaking out from behind her foot.

Open element 21, copy and close the original.  Select the tree layer and paste.  Image, free rotate to the left 90 Degrees.  Move to the bottom left.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move slightly to the right.

Open element 19, copy and close the original.  Select the bead layer and paste.  Resize 40% and move to the bottom left so it is in front of the lantern and peaking out from behind the crow.

Open element 28, copy and close the original.  Select the top left layer and paste.  Move to the bottom left.  Duplicate and mirror move down slightly.

Add your copyright and name.  Save as png.

PTU: SteamPunk it up

This tutorial was written by me on February 1, 2015 and are the results of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.  

Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own.

This was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Supplies needed.

I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.

Animation Shop (optional)

PTU Tube:  I am using the gorgeous artwork of VeryMany.   The tube I am using is Steampunk Girl.   Please do not use this tube without a proper licence.  You can purchase this beauty at PFD here.  

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called SteamPunk by Mellie Beans. This kit was made for promoting No Drama. You can purchase this gorgous kit at PFD here.

Mask:  WSL Mask 238.  You can download it from Weescotslass's blog here.

Font: Of your choice

Plug ins: None

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.

Let's get started.

Open a new 600x600 transparent image.

Open paper 1, copy and close the original.  Select Raster 1 and paste.  Open your close up tube, copy and close the original.  Select the paper layer and paste.  Resize 70% and move to the left.  You may need to move her more once we apply the mask.  Select the paper layer.  Layers, load/save mask, load mask from disk and find mask WSL 238 apply mask but do not merge.  Move your tube layer to a spot you like then move this layer under your mask layer.  change the blend mode to hard light.  Merge group.  Resize the mask layer by 105% all layers not checked.  Repeat.

Open your main tube, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 45% and mirror.  Move to the left side.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 28, copy and close the original.  Select the mask layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the far left.  Drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 18, copy and close the original.  Select the crate layer and paste.  Resize 50% and move to the upper middle.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open wordart 1, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom center.  Drop shadow.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the balloon layer and paste.  Resize 30% and move to the bottom right corner.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 24, copy and close the original.  Select the tube layer and paste.  Resize 35% and move to the bottom left corner of the wordart.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the wheel layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move to the left side so it is peaking out from behind the tube.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow and move to the right of the tube and down.  see mine for placement.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20% and move down in front of the PU.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 14, copy and close the original.  Select the flower layer under the wordart.  Paste as a new layer and resize 40% and move to the bottom right so it is peaking out from behind the wordart.  See mine for placement.  Drop shadow.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the flower layer under the wings,  paste as a new layer.  Resize 15% and move to the middle of the wings.  See mine for placement.

Add your copyright and name.

Save as png if you do not want to animate.

If you are going to animate, select Raster 1 and flood fill white.

Merge mask layer and white layer down.  Hide the mask layer.  Merge the other layers visible.  Unhide all layers.  Resize your top layer by 90% all  layers not checked.

Animation

Open Simone's anni 238 in animation shop.  Select all, animation, resize animation, 90% smart size, and maintain aspect ratio checked.  Animation, mirror.  Now we are ready to make the tag.

Back to psp.  Copy your mask layer and paste as new animation in animation shop.  Shift + v.  Holding down the shift + Ctrl tap your L until you have 20 layers in total.  It will show you the frame count in the bottom right corner of animation shop.  Select all.  Ctrl + A.  Select the animation, you will notice that is also has 20 frame.  Select all, Ctrl + a, copy Ctrl + C.  now select your mask layer and paste into selections, Ctrl + E.  It will be hanging on your mouse.  

Move your mouse to the far left until you see the cog line up with the hair just below the jaw line.  Click.

Back to psp,  Copy your to layer.  Back to animation shop.  Paste as a new layer, Ctrl + v, and then duplicate this layer until you have 20 frames.  Shift + Ctrl and tap the L until you have the 20 frames.

Now here comes the hard part.  Select all, Ctrl + A, Copy, Ctrl + C.  select your mask layer and paste into selections, Ctrl + E.  Click.  This should line up perfectly if it does not, hit Ctrl + z and repeat until the elements layer lines up proper.  It may take a few tries.

View your animation and save as gif.
